New Country CD in the making……

It’s 2025, almost 2026 and after a five-year wait, I am finally releasing my 2nd Christmas CD, “Winter Wonderland” in December this year and my New Country CD, “Born To Sing” in January 2026. I’ve been going to Florida the past few months teaming up with my long-time producer of 31 years, Rodney Mills to add vocals to the 27 tracks we cut in Nashville, TN plus the12 more that I’ve recorded in Nashville in August 2025. Then we add the background vocals, the extra strings and horns and then the artwork and pressing. Sounds easy, but it’s not. It’s the longest part of finishing a New CD.  Cutting it is easy, but adding vocals, mixing and mastering takes a long time.

We did a 3-day recording session in Nashville with my Norwegian Partners (Kom og Dans), my producer, Rodney Mills and the A-Team of Musicians a few years back and now by the “Grace of God”, we hope we can finish it. Many of you know I have a Senior Health Charity called Dancing For The Dream that uses line dance as it’s chosen form of exercise.  We host Bootscooter Line Dance Camps across the USA. This year I hope to raise some money to finish my CD’s by hosting our dance camps, selling existing products, event t-shirts and of getting as many private donations as possible.  Our costs will be about $35,000 to finish the two CD’s.

Meanwhile, I had cut a duet with Bruce Springsteen in November 2022 at his request called Shama Lama Ding Dong.  I released my version in November of 2022 and worked it all the way up to #10 on the radio charts when it stopped climbing. We were going to tour together in Europe when Bruce developed a form of throat cancer taking him off the road indefinitely. The duet just sits now till Sony Records makes a decision of what to do with it. (Bruce and I record for the same label).

For all of you who continue to buy my CD’s and download my singles on legal download sites, I love you for your support and pray you be blessed daily.

See you at the festivals and on the dance floor.

Love from the North Georgia Mountains,
Scooter Lee
