Linedancer Waltz

Description: 48 count line dance done in contra-circle formation

Note: Dancers start in contra-circle formation, holding hands. This is a circle inside a circle with the outside circle facing in, traveling anti- clockwise, and the inside circle facing out, traveling clockwise. Hold hands with the dancers on either side of you. If you have a large group, you may have another set of contra circles inside the original set. If you have a small group, you don't have to do contra, you may use one circle with everyone facing in, traveling anti-clockwise, holding hands.

FORWARD WALTZ BASIC, TWINKLE, CROSS ROCK, RECOVER, SIDE, REPEAT
1 - 3 Traveling toward your R side, facing R angle, hands joined, Stride (little longer than a normal step) forward with L foot (1), Step forward with R foot (2), Step forward with L foot (3)

4 - 6 Still traveling toward your R side, Stride forward with R foot (4), Step forward with L foot (5), Step forward with R foot (6). (These 6 counts should all progress around the circle.)

1 - 3 Step forward with L foot (1), Turning toward L angle, small step to R side with R foot (2), Recover weight to L foot facing L angle (3)

4 - 6 Rock R foot forward across in front of L, bending knees and bowing to someone across from you in the other circle (4), Recover weight back to L foot (5), Step R foot to R side turning body to R angle (6)

1 - 12 Repeat above 12 counts ending with body at a slight R angle. (Hands stay joined for the full 24 counts.)

WEAVE FRONT, SIDE, BEHIND, THREE STEP TURN, REPEAT
1 - 3 Step L foot across in front of R (1), Step R foot to R side (2), Step L foot crossed behind R (3)

4 - 6 Releasing hands, Step R foot to R side starting to turn R 360 degrees (4), Small step with L foot continuing R turn (5), Completing R 360 degree turn, step R foot to R side (6)

1 - 6 Hands stay released, repeat above 6 counts. (These 12 counts should all progress around the circle.)

4 TWINKLES REJOINING HANDS
1 - 3 Rejoining hands, Step L foot across in front of R (1), Small step to R side with R foot turning to L angle (2), Recover weight to L foot (3)

4 - 6 Step R foot across in front of L (4), Small step to L side with L foot turning to R angle (5), Recover weight to R foot (6)

1 - 6 Repeat above 6 counts
