Scooter Lee; a taste of the south at its best!
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, this bayou babe is 3rd to youngest in a family of ten with four brothers and five sisters. Her mother said she came out screaming a high “c” chord and was destined to be on the stage! She turned the Country Music Dance Community on it’s ears in the 90’s when she developed and perfected the formula for recording a perfectly phrased song that was not only “dancer” friendly” but “radio friendly” as well. There isn’t a dance floor in the world that doesn’t hear and feel the sounds of that formula with “J’ai du Boogie, Dizzy, Rose Garden, High Test Love, Ribbon Of Highway, Shadows In The Night, Old Friend, Rock & Roll Waltz, Rompin' Stompin', Louisiana Hot Sauce, Fly Me To The Moon, This Little Light Of Mine, Sweet Sweet Smile, Swing Low Sweet Chariot and Who Did You Call Darling".

From the USA to the UK, Denmark, France, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Finland, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Africa and the list goes on and on (she tours 33 countries), she proves that formula over and over again with the success of her albums, “Best Of Scooter Lee, More Of The Best, Puttin’ On The Ritz, Walking On Sunshine, Test Of Time and her newest, Go To The Rock.” Her music has charted for years in the Country Music Charts in the UK, Europe and Australia. Not dance charts but country music charts. In Nashville, TN, she is considered the hardest working artist on the road doing more than 200 days a year worldwide and dancers from all over the world tell Scooter Lee they have more of her music than any other artist’s in the world.

She has proved that formula over and over again with the success of her albums “High Test Love, Moving On Up and Would You Consider", all three charting in the Country Music Charts in the UK, Europe and Australia - Not dance charts but country music charts. In Nashville, TN she is considered the hardest working artist on the road doing more than 150 Shows a year worldwide. She has gone on to release FOUR Compilations of "straight ahead dance music" that have gone on to become some of the biggest selling country dance CD's in the world! "The Best Of Scooter Lee, More Of The Best Of Scooter Lee. Puttin' On The Ritz and Walking On Sunshine”.

When Scooter released "The Test Of Time" it was her first full album recorded in Nashville since More Of The Best. She proved one more time why she is #1 around the world for releasing a CD that just won't let you sit still. "The Test Of Time" with 18 Tracks has Scooter sounding better then ever vocally and looking great physically. You'll hear her love for the "Golden Oldies" like "Stupid Cupid and Cab Driver" and she melts your little heart on those great Country Western Ballads like "If I Could Bottle This Up" and her own composition, "Test Of Time". Then she takes you down south to New Orleans to her Gospel Roots with her version of "This Little Light Of Mine" that will have you shoutin' "Praise The Lord". "Let There Be Peace On Earth" has you rethinking what life is all about and your part in it her self-penned "Steppin' Stone" will just groove you. It's an album worth your ears and toe tapping feet.

Before recording the Test Of Time, Scooter had decided she would do the second 1/2 of her life in a much healthier manner than the first 1/2. She dropped weight (over 100 pounds), began working out and began filling her life with positive people and positive thoughts and you hear it and it shows. Just when you think her last CD was GREAT, this one comes along that puts that one in the dust. Hearing is believing.

Now there's her latest, "Go To The Rock" released in 2007 where she brings gospel to the dance floor as well as some great country music. She penned the title track Go To The Rock with Jan Smith who has done back ground vocals with Scooter for ten years. Scooter also did a wonderful rendition of Randy Travis' Swing Low Sweet Chariot and Etta James' Oh Happy Day. But that's not all, wait till you hear her version of "Kiss Me Once".

Her first Christmas Album released in 2002 is "Set The North Pole On Fire". With the popularity of this album so far we are sure it will go on to be a Holiday Classic on the dance floor with songs like self-penned "Holidays On The Bayou" about her hometown of New Orleans in the state of Louisiana and the sure fire floor fillers "Mary's Boy Child and The Christmas Card."

She holds the British title "Country Dance Artist Of The Year" for 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2001. She was nominated again in 2002. In the year 2000, she was inducted into the British Dance Hall Of Fame to stand beside Jo Thompson, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Village People and Brooks and Dunn. "High Test Love" was voted Album Of The Year in 1997 in the UK.

In 2000 she received the "Spirit Of Europe Award" in Berlin, GERMANY. This award is given to the the Artist who has contributed the most to country music in Europe. You've seen her perform during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, the 1997 Orange Bowl Half-time Show along side the "Mavericks" in Miami, Florida. She's the "singing voice" that was heard on the Longhorn Steakhouse Restaurant TV & Radio Commercials in the USA and created the now famous hook line, "Steakhouse Baby!".

She resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she runs her International Distribution Company for Audio and Video and her Nonprofit Charity, Dancing For The Dream, Inc that encourages “Dancing For The Health Of It.” She is passionate about her music, her fans, her love for seniors and her love for a good laugh. Scooter doesn’t hesitate to “step out on the edge”and try something new. “Being a Pioneer” is important and she is not afraid of all the hard work it will take to get there. Our Bootscooter Camps are limited to 500 dancers / seniors and include instructional line dance lessons, health seminars, computer training seminars and instructor seminars and of course some social dance to put into practice what they've learned. Our events are hosted in the USA and Canada. The Dancing For The Dream Charity also funds the G.R.A.C.E. Her life is about “making a difference”. She is passionate about her music, her fans, her love for seniors, her war on those who counterfeit music threatening her industry and her love for a good laugh. She is always “stepping out on the edge” and trying something new. “Being First” is important and she is not afraid of all the hard work  it will take to get there. Scooter is always on the cutting edge of “Keeping the World In Line” all in the name of dance.

She continues to travel 200 days a year, working 150 of those 200 days
