Like the hot sauce so prevalent in the cooking of her native home in Louisiana, Scooter Lee has been scorching the musical palettes of Country / Pop and Rhythm & Blues fans ever since she began singing in her early teens. Hear the raw edged energy in her ballads and the growl in her uptempo songs. Hear the voice once and you'll never forget it!

Ms Scooter Lee

With the release of Home To Louisiana in 2009 this vocal firecracker continues in the direction that has made her a world wide phenomenon on the dance floor! Her latest album is the best reason yet to launch her career into the realm of music's hottest singers and performers. With 15 tracks of 4 self-penned and some of the best cover tunes, Scooter proves once again why she is the biggest selling country dance artist in the world.

Born in New Orleans and raised in nearby Mandeville, Louisiana, Scooter Lee's influences were fueled by the rich musical heritage nurtured in the Crescent City. Accordingly, listeners of Scooter's brand of Country Music will hear elements of blues, pop and r&b in her style, a veritable country music gumbo! Along the way, she's also had the opportunity to work with several 'Giants' in the music industry. First in New Orleans, she sang with legendary songwriter/ producer Allen Toussaint, strutted on stage with Jerry Lee Lewis and sang the "rock & roll blues with Fats Domino. The 1980's had her moving to Nashville and teaming up with Porter Wagoner, the man responsible for Dolly Partons early success.

Those stops also gave her the opportunity to tour in cities all over the world. The road is a great learning experience, and Scooter has learned the ropes by performing everywhere from USO Military Shows in Europe to the hottest clubs and hotels in Las Vegas. All of this experience has made her into a complete performer, one who can sing a song and tell a joke with the best.

When the 90's rolled around, Scooter teamed up with legendary music publisher Bill Lowery to fine-tune her songwriting skills. Lowery, who helped launch the careers of such artists as Joe South, Billy Joe Royal, Ray Stevens, Jerry Reed, Brenda Lee, Alicia Bridges and the Atlanta Rhythm Section, felt if she were developed as a writer and vocalist Scooter would become a complete artist. His Southern Tracks Records released seven albums: "Scooter Lee's New Album", "Honky Tonk Twist", "High Test Love" (1998 Album of the year) "Moving On Up" (nominated album of the year for 1999) "By Request...The Disco Album", "Would You Consider" (the return to traditional country) and "The Best Of Scooter Lee" (released October 2000). Since then she has partnered up with The National Senior Olympics and is the current host for "Line Dancing" in the National Games. She released her second 'Greatest Hits' Album - More Of The Best in 2001 with 21 Tracks that continues to fill the dance floor around the world. Her latest release "Puttin' On The Ritz" is the final edition of her 'Greatest Hits' Series.

In addition, she continued to rack-up some impressive performance credentials, including the 1996 Olympics and a show-stopping set during the half-time at the 1997 Orange Bowl with The Mavericks. Her unique, sassy vocals have also made her a much in-demand voice for commercials, including the award-winning spots for Longhorn Steakhouse Restaurants in the Southeast (USA) and the voice for the NBA Charlotte Hornets.

She continues to run the largest Audio/Video Distribution Company aimed at Country Dancers - Couple and Line Dancers from her office in Atlanta, GA while managing her latest passion for seniors, "The Dancing For The Dream Senior Health Charity with the leader in choreography and line dance instruction, Jo Thompson Szymanski.

She continues to give back to the community working with several charities including ChildLine UK, National Child Abuse USA, The Cancer Society, The Diabetes Society, Georgia Prisons on The Repercussions of Child Abuse and her own 501c3 Nonprofit Charity.

Putting her money where her mouth is when it comes to causes that are close to her heart.  Her newest passion for senior citizens and her work with them is relentless

In 1997, Scooter was a part of helping to raise over $300,000 with the sale of a special EP, video and concerts, along with several other events for the ChildLine Project in the UK, which benefits victims of child abuse. She hopes to have the same success with the senior community with her upcoming CD's and Videos.

Onto her albums....

On By Request...the Disco/Dance Album, Scooter demonstrates her incredible versatility with a batch of songs from the 70's & 80's Disco Era - that guarantee a flat-out good time. From the ever popular "Dancin' Queen" to "Be Young,Be Foolish, Be Happy", from "I Love The Nightlife" to the mega hit "Stayin' Alive", the rockin' sounds of "Bad Thang", to the gut wrenching "At Last", Scooter gives a tour-de-force that should make any fan of country/pop roots music smile. And she certainly hasn't forgotten her dance fans either with two smokin' tracks, "Midnight Hour/Knock On Wood" and "On The Radio/Last Dance," that promise to get everyone up on the floor!

Scooter Lee is already a hit in other parts of the globe, including the UK, Germany, The Netherlands , Canada and Australia / New Zealand.  Her tours consistently sell-out and her album sales would make any major label proud. (Her foreign distributors include Sony and Universal) She also currently holds the title of British Dance Artist Of The Year for 1997, 1998, 1999 & 2000. The year 2000 saw her inducted into the British Dance Hall Of Fame for her contributions to the dance community around the world. She won the Spirit Of Europe Award in 1999 in Berlin, GERMANY for the artist who has contributed the most to country music in 1999. Her travels take her all over the world where she continues to travel 200 days a year.

With the release of Moving On Up in 1998, country music fans got a taste of this Southern Belle like they have never known. The Moving On Up Album was nominated in 1998 in the British Country Music Dance Awards for album of the year. The songs Dizzy & Ribbon Of Highway were nominated for Song of the year. The album entered the British Country Music Charts at #7 and stayed in the charts for 22 weeks.  Those of us who work with her on a daily basis didn't think she could top that when she released the "Would You Consider Album" a return to traditional country. It entered the British Country Music charts at #16. Critics said it was her best work yet. J'ai du Boogie gave the world a taste of her cajun background with lyrics in Cajun French. It is her most popular album to date according to radio.

Isn't it time YOU HEARD what everyone else is talking about? Let the good times roll!
